About Jane Flynn

Welcome to Jane Flynn’s therapy practice. With a BBA degree from the University of Texas and a master’s degree in counseling from St. Edwards University, Jane brings 15 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor supervisor. Passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and families, she specializes in areas such as eating disorders, self-harm, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, and navigating the challenges of social media.

Recognizing that depression manifests beyond sadness, Jane sheds light on the dorsal vagal state, emphasizing warning signs in children, including feeling dazed, numb, dissociated, and frozen. In the aftermath of the pandemic, she understands the mental health struggles that have become an epidemic, particularly among the younger generation. Jane offers support in developing coping skills and fostering positive family interactions, addressing the resilience and confidence gaps in the adolescent world.

While not in-network with insurance carriers, she provides clients with superbill options for filing. With a humanistic approach and expertise in therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Internal Family Systems, Jane prioritizes building rapport with her clients.

She offers a complimentary 10-minute consultation, emphasizing the importance of the client’s right to choose a comfortable and safe therapeutic partnership. In a world recognizing the severe impact of loneliness, as noted by the US Surgeon General, Jane Flynn is dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards improved mental well-being.
